Thought it might be nice to introduce our new Italian Greyboy, Oliver! He'll probably be called mostly Ollie. It's been many years since we've had a new baby in the house, and we're enjoying him immensely! He's 12 weeks and quite bright. I'm not sure why he looks so big in the photo though, he's only 4.8 lbs, and in person looks nowhere as large as here! He's a real luvbug, and is completely content as long as he has a lap to snuggle on. He's keeping us quite busy with trips outside, but has been doing very well with this, though he's only been with us for 24 hours. He had his well-baby check with our vet this morning, and got a good report. Our two "big" greys, Sam and Gracie, are over the novelty already and back to their couch-potato jobs, as you can see below. I know that greyhounds are not for everyone, but for me, there is simply no other breed that I love more. Ollie is my first Italian, but my 4th greyhound. He is actually intended to be my daughter's dog, but within the family circle, there isn't much delineation. He's fit right in as if he's always been here.
Look at his LEGS! He'll need some time to grow into these! |
Of course, I haven't got much done with my jewelry over the last 24 hours! But in this life, once in awhile, you have to slow down and smell the roses, or at least snuggle a greypup once in awhile!
