Welcome! I love sharing two of my passions, Jewelry Design and Vintage! My jewerly focus is on wire wrap, wire crochet, beading and metalwork, in sterling, gemstones, Swarovski and Czech glass. On the Vintage side, I love learning what makes pieces special, and how they helped define their era. Of course, Home, Family and Furkids all have their place here as well! Do your pens keep walking away from your craft booth?? Cute Solution!
I recently saw this cute idea in a doctor's office, for keeping pens from "accidentally" walking away from the desk. We know some folks might be true "collectors", but I prefer to think that in most cases, they get put into pockets and purses just as an unconscious motion after signing something.
The doc's office had these in a terra cotta pot, and used BIG bright pink flowers on the ends of their pens. They were so bright and cheerful! I wanted something that would go better with my booth design, which is basically black and white, and take up less space. I used green floral tape to wrap the pen onto the wire stem. This tape is "self-sealing". The only downside is that what makes it self sealing, also leaves it a bit tacky feeling. I don't mind though, as this is harmless, and may even work toward the "flowers" staying on the table. "Tacky to the touch" stems are a little less attractive to consider lifting. If the sticky feel is a deterrent, one could also use green vinyl tape, which could probably be found at a craft store, or green electrical tape - from the hardware store.
Anyway, I just thought this was a great idea and wanted to share! Thanks to the staff at my doc's office for the idea!
