Herding up the Clutter

A common challenge facing many of us in the creative arena - what to do with all the "stuff" that comes with our passions!  Work spaces are typically not large, yet we need to have our tools, components and supplies handy, and preferably without having to dig under one container to get to another.  Ever juggled two or three tackle boxes of beads while trying to open each to find a specific bit?  It is a constant dilemma, and some of us become downright giddy when tripping over a new solution for our creative clutter issues.   A simple idea just put me into that happy place.

New use for half of my old shoe rack!
An old two-unit stacking shoe rack was headed for the yard sale bin, when an Oprah-like "Aha!" moment hit.  After some quick measurements and a Walmart run, one of the two racks was repurposed, doubling the usable space on my studio bookshelf.  The fit is nearly perfect, and the flat space above will hold my sheet metal out of harm's way.

I will be using the second shoe rack on the shelf below, currently a catch-all space.  Quite a bit of clutter-herding for just the cost of a few inexpensive plastic shoe boxes!  I love finding ways to maximize my storage space, and can't wait to get these filled and labeled!  Disarray and Clutter - better take note - you guys are out of here!  Recycle, Repurpose, Save bucks!
